SOME Recent projects include

Evaluation + Research

In recent years, I have successfully completed extensive evaluation and research for the Calgary Homeless Foundation on some of the sector's most pressing issues.

Projects spanned from core research on aging and mortality in homelessness to evaluations of specific high-impact programs, including rapid re-housing, permanent supportive housing, recovery-oriented supportive housing, and the CUPS Community Development Program.

Beyond program evaluation, I've supported organizations like The Alex and the Calgary Drop-in Centre by helping them build their internal capacity for stronger evidence-based decision making.

Program Design

I move beyond theory to deliver operational solutions. A key recent example is working with SORCe at the Distress Centre to develop a program model and evaluation framework for their Justice Navigator program.

Prior work includes successfully researching and developing the complete program model for a Mobile Supervised Consumption Site, covering everything from the staffing and service delivery plan to necessary policies, community engagement, and regulatory steps.

Additionally, my recent national environmental scan provided vital data on programs supporting the Social Determinants of Health for LGBTQ2S+ communities.

Fund Development

My strategic grant writing partnership with Shift: The Project to End Domestic Violence (University of Calgary) directly enabled the continuation of their primary prevention work. We successfully developed and submitted two funding proposals to the Public Health Agency of Canada, which were awarded over $1.9 million in total grant funds. This success ensures their vital mission moves forward.

Facilitation

Through a partnership with the Centre for Sexuality and the Canadian Public Health Association, I led focus groups with persons who use substances. This work was essential for deeply understanding the intersection of stigma and the systemic barriers that affect their ability to access sexual health services
