I'm Brian, I founded Plan B: Research + Design to ensure that evidence leads directly to real-world impact. For over a decade, I've served as a strategic research and evaluation partner for local, provincial, and national academic, non-profit, and health services clients.

My work is tied together by a singular focus: finding solutions that improve the wellbeing of equity-deserving populations.

My approach is built on a unique blend of high-level expertise and practical experience: 

• System-Informed Perspective: I've partnered with a broad array of disciplines, giving me an advanced understanding of how systems intersect—for better or for worse—and how they impact service delivery.
• Front-Line Clarity: Having spent time working in front-line service delivery, I have a clear sense of what works, what doesn't, and what's truly feasible when it comes to maximizing impact for the people you serve.
• Utilization-Focused: I pride myself on demystifying and simplifying research and evaluation. My goal is to produce practical, real-world applications that your team can immediately use to make evidence-based decisions.

I hold Master's degrees in Sociology (University of Calgary) and Public Health (University of Victoria). My published work covers critical topics in gender, health, and equity.
